How much does a transponder cost?
The transponders cost about $40 —though luckily that amount can be used as a credit for your tolls—and they must be registered via the ExpressLanes website. Beginning June 1st, everyone with a transponder must pay a $1 monthly fee, though toll discounts are available for low-income drivers.
Are transponders free?
Switchable and external transponders are available for purchase. Sticker transponders are free. FasTrak Invoice accounts will continue to be assessed an additonal $2 invoice fee per statement.
Can you use a transponder in another car?
Can I use my transponder in other vehicles? Yes, you may transfer a transponder between vehicles as long as they are of the same vehicle class. There are penalties for using a transponder in a different vehicle class (i.e. Car transponder in a tractor- trailer.)

You agree that a $25 fee may be charged to your account for checks returned by your bank or financial institution.
Why does EZ Pass keep charging me $25?
A returned check fee of $25 will be charged for each check returned to E-ZPass unpaid by your bank. DO NOT SEND CASH BY MAIL.
